Don't Forget To Breathe
Over the past couple of days, I have found it necessary to remind myself to breathe several times. It wasn’t because I physically wasn’t breathing in the moment, it was because I wasn’t breathing in the moment. I wasn’t taking it in. I wasn’t present with my physical body. My soul was traveling a million miles an hour through the unreality of my mind and the places in my mind weren’t pleasant. Fear, doubt, anxiety, worry, and insecurity were found in the dark corners of my imagination. My heart rate increased incrementally with the speed of the train of thought. It was when my body started mirroring my mind that I realized I needed to make an intentional action to snap out of my vivid imagination.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
One more time.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
