Your actions do not hide the type of person you are. As a matter of fact, they expose inner parts of the soul that you would rather not have exposed. What you do (or don’t do) can show you more about yourself than your own introspective thoughts. For it is from our actions that we measure our own and each other’s character.
Talk is cheap.
Actions speak louder than words.
As is the man, so is his strength.
What Jether was unwilling to admit, his actions betrayed. While the boy may not have admitted he was afraid, his sheathed sword was all the indictment needed. To the sound of jeers from those that had killed his kinsman, Jether was measured and found lacking.
